Why does socialism have to be the only solution? I don’t hear Umair advocating that. It’s an interesting knee-jerk reaction to think that recognizing the fall-out from selfishness and hoarding resources means one is advocating for “ base, miserable equality”.

Is there evil in the world? Yes. Does it emanate from the desire to create societies designed to let all people flourish? I don’t believe so. You have just as much right to human dignity as anyone else, but it doesn’t need to come from denying that dignity to others. Justice for crimes of genocide and exploitation aren’t really addressed here.
