Thank you for this research and explanation. I had only really known about Eros and Agape and stopped at those. The distinctions you’ve shared here are powerful as we consider all the loves in our lives. I do find the type of love for children to be the same as love for a sports team a little strange, but then again, at least in the West, our love for our children has gotten a bit out of whack. So maybe the Greeks were on to something that should be reconsidered there.

And then the Manic, explains so much. I had only considered that co-dependency comes from getting Eros and Agape mixed up. I’m going to read this a few more times and update my understanding.
