But what you don’t get is that you’re not listening. Until we are truly changed as a country, this is on all of us as whites. It doesn’t matter if you think you get it. We are only as strong as the weakest link, and we have some fucking weak links in this country. Take the information to heart. Speak to the next white person and keep speaking and acting until we are actually one people. The work is not done. It won’t be done until it is. We don’t get to just show up at one protest or hire one Black person or invite one family who looks different from us into our homes for a meal. The work is not done until it’s done. We don’t get to be tired, we don’t get to be over it. Applaud the courageous Black voices who tell us we’re not done yet. And then pick up the next piece and take the next step. We’re not done.
